With the success of Disney's live acion tale of Alice in Wonderland they've been anxious to get more of their collection of fairy tales to the big screen. We'll see the first attempt by Disney to replicate that success with this month's Oz The Great and Powerful and then followed by the Sleeping Beauty inspired film Maleficent with Angelina Jolie later this year. Another project in the works is a new interpretation of Cinderella and according to Variety it looks as if Disney would like Emma Watson (the Harry Potter series) to don the glass slippers. Cate Blanchett is also set to star as Cinderella's evil stepmother and Disney hopes to begin shooting in London soon to make a summer/fall 2014 release.
