Well Movie Hivers it may not be Valentine's Day weekend, but after you check out this week's movie hive you may think it is.  The zombie/romance film, Warm Bodies, opens and one of the Oscar nominated short films has landed online and it is a much watch.  Let's just get to the good stuff shall we?

Introducing Lois Lane

It's a bit of a slow week in terms of movie news mostly becuase of the upcoming Super Bowl this Sunday and while their will be plenty of movie action during the game thanks to new trailers and sneek peaks, right now I'm trying to find something of importance to lay at your feet.  So with that in mind I thought the first picture of Amy Adams as the new Lois Lane in the upcoming Man of Steel was perfect, because who doesn't love Amy Adams?  She is one of my favorite actress's and I think she is absolutely perfect to play the strong willed, always getting into trouble Lois Lane.  Check out the black and white photograph below.

New Movies This Weekend Brought To You By:

Warm Bodies - Rated PG-13 - Starring Teresa Palmer, Nicholas Hoult, Analeigh Tipton and John Malkovich

After R (a highly unusual zombie) saves Julie from an attack, the two form a relationship that sets in motion a sequence of events that might transform the entire lifeless world.

Bullet to the Head - Rated R - Starring Sylvester Stallone, Sarah Shahi, Sung Kang, Jason Momoa and Christian Slater

After watching their respective partners die, a New Orleans hitman and a Washington D.C. detective form an alliance in order to bring down their common enemy.

The Oscar Nominated Animated Short Film Paperman

I am a huge fan of animation, but none of the animated films that I saw this year did anything for me.  Why does almost every feature length animated film that comes out have to be CGI and in 3D?  Whatever happened to pencils and paper people?  Anyways, I happened across Paperman, one of Disney's animated shorts, online and it just so happens to be nominated for an Oscar so I decided to give it a view.  This is by far the best animated...anything I've seen all year.  Not only is it gorgeous to look at, I love the black & white, it's also hopelessly romantic.  Without a single word of dialogue it conveys its message perfectly and does it with such wit and style.  If you've got 6 minutes and 34 seconds to spare please watch this video becuase it will most certainly put a smile on your face.

P.S. You may want to have a tissue near by as well because even I teared up a bit watching this.
