Lady Antebellum Back On Top; Gokey, Alice & Lifehouse Debut Top 10
After being kicked out of the #1 spot on the Billboard album chart three weeks ago by Sade's Soldier of Love, Lady Antebellum's album Need You Now has now reclaimed the top spot. Solider Of Love has now slipped to #2. Meanwhile, six new albums debut in the top 10, including My Best Days, the debut album from American Idol third-place finisher Danny Gokey. That album enters the chart at #4. By comparison, Kris Allen's album debuted at #11, while Adam Lambert's managed a #3 debut.
Meanwhile, Almost Alice, the soundtrack to the new Alice In Wonderland movie, debuts at #6. It features songs inspired by the film by a number of different acts, including the end title theme, "Alice," by Avil Lavinge. In at #6 is Smoke & Mirrors, the new CD by Lifehouse. It's the band's fourth straight top-10 album.
